WikiMedia Commons Bird Pictures-- PUBLIC DOMAIN

To upload images or other media to your EWA entry you need to either own copyright for the media, have permission, or know it is in the public domain. Wikimedia Commons is an excellent resource-- go to the WIKIMEDIA COMMONS and enter the name of the bird or other thing you would like to illustrate. Be sure to look at the license for re-use-- some files will require that you give credit to the creator (you can enter this in the Rights & Permissions tab as you create your EWA entry). A collection of SVG bird pictures from wikimedia commons (SVG are vector images, these often on a blank background thus good for ID). If you wish to use this resource, follow the link in the text above and download the picture you want to use. Then upload the picture to Scald on this website. You can now use this picture in your digital heritage item. Make sure you follow the rights and permissions of this resource! If it states that you must cite the source then make sure you do!
